What's On
Memories of Rumburgh and All Saints and Nicholas South Elmham.
A Local History Day Saturday 8 June 2024 – 10.00am to 4.00pm
Rumburgh and St. Michael Village Hall
Malt Office Lane, Rumburgh, Halesworth IP19 0JD
My name is Sonia Collins and I am the local history recorder for Rumburgh and All Saints and St. Nicholas South Elmham and I am registered with the Suffolk Local History Council.
A local history day is being organised on Saturday 8 June 2024 at Rumburgh and St. Michael Village Hall.
I am writing to you in advance of the main set of advertising to give you time to search out your photo albums and memorabilia so that you can contribute to this day of history.
There will be the opportunity to display your history items in the hall.
We are also going to create a memory book which will mean that people can contribute their particular memories of Rumburgh and All Saints and St. Nicholas South Elmham villages. Contributions will need to be typed up and sent across to me for inclusion in the book in advance please.
If you have old photographs, maps, newsletters, posters from past events, artifacts or maybe you would like to contribute by typing up your memories of village life. Any contribution that you can make will be most welcome.
I will also need help with the organisation and planning of the day and practical support from volunteers on Saturday 8 June – so please if you can help, get in touch.
Please contact me via email if you would like to contribute to the history day.
